Multiple Listing Service (MLS®)
The Calgary MLS® is an online database with software that shows all of the houses that are available for sale in Calgary. You can find houses by neighbourhood, price, square footage, type, etc. and it lists all of the qualities, along with pictures and possibly videos of the houses that are for sale.
The Sign on the Lawn and Listing Agent
Many houses are sold because people look at which neighbourhood they want to live in and then drive around that neighbourhood to see what’s available. They then call the listing agent rather than hiring a buyers agent, because they think the listing agent might lower their commission since they’ll be getting both the listing (or selling) commission and the buying commission.
Real Estate Office Walk-in and Buyers Agents
Many houses are sold because buyers see real estate offices, walk in, and sign a Buyers Agent Agreement whereby they agree to work with one agent who will help them find their dream home.
Does Facebook work to sell houses? Absolutely! Many people spend a lot of time on Facebook and if you advertise where people spend a lot of time, you’ll find buyers, and sellers.
